 The Giving Tree is Tijeras Creek's “expand our library” program and is an excellent opportunity to honor scholars, encourage them to read, and demonstrate a commitment to our school community.

The Giving Tree allows Tijeras Creek supporters to donate books to the school library in honor of Tijeras Creek Scholars.  To participate in the program, complete the Giving Tree form found in the PTA packet sent home or in the office.  You can choose the month you wish to donate the book to coincide with a scholar's birthday or other occasion. We will contact your scholar to choose a book from the list of approved library-bound titles.  We will present the book to your scholar at a Friday morning assembly and he or she will be allowed to take the book home as the first "check out." Upon return, the book will be added to the library shelves for all scholars to enjoy.  Your scholar’s name will be printed on the inside of the book and added to the Giving Tree mural on the library wall.
